The Differences!!!

The road was flooded. He was merely 7 years old. He wanted to be on the other side of that flooded road. He searched for the options. Short legs could not jump high and he was on his school dress, dark blue pant and sky blue shirt. May be something was going on in that little brain, when he moved forward to take a jump. However, when he was sure, his legs were not longer enough to cross it, he backed himself. He tried the other way, but he was against in spoiling his school shoes. Then only, his eyes fell on some stones placed over there for the support. Slowly and carefully, he stepped on it and crossed it. His shoes were little bit dirty but he pulled out his hanky from his pocket, wiped it out and marched towards his school alone.

Same was the flooded road, when another boy of about same age came over there in an interval of about one minute. Now I was interested on how he will cross it. He was also going to school in his best dress possible, green pant and white shirt. He looked tidy with a tie and a hanky hanging near his pocket. This kid however, didn’t have to use his brain. May be he was even unaware about the road because he was with his mother. At once, his mom carried him and crossed the road

It was a scene that had a long lasting impression in my brain. A scene that made me think and analyse about the both kids. In fact, its a normal story about the differences and struggle between the social classes. The first one is from a lower class family, reads in a government school and second one is from a medium class and reads in a private school. Of course, the second kid has a bright future, he doesn’t have to struggle a lot in life because of his family. He has some sort of things that has been inherited. The first kid will have to struggle more comparatively. However, he will learn a lot about the struggle and hardships. He will learn to make the best possible solution among the options. He is free to choose for himself and learn from the mistakes.

May be the differences among the people has made the living on this earth more beautiful. I wish bright future for both the kids.

  1. Wonderful piece of thoughts. There are lot of differences in our society.

    A nice post.......
